Note: Information supplied in the Family Tree and History prepared by Blair Crowe has the following to report about Daniel Elijah Richardson -
"Worked on Murweh Station and Delilah. Carted wood in Charleville until he got the job as Overseer on North Comogin where he worked for 17 years.
"Daniel was a very superstitious man. He would not owe money in the New Year, would not allow three lights to be on in the house and would not allow his wife to wear black. He was known as 'Flash Dan' in the district and was always well dressed
while his wife Margaret scraped to clothe the children in hand-me-downs.
"Daniel and Margaret Richardson were very good friends with Hughie and Granny Angus, an old couple who had a bullock team. Their son Al Angus drove the team and Granny and Hughie followed behind in a wagonette. Granny Angus had a very sharp
tongue and would often give Hughie a very severe tongue lashing, which he promptly ignored.
Daniel's brothers James and Charles married two Angus sisters - Martha and Sarah.
Daniel's daughter Elizabeth Ellen [Nell] Richardson married Norman Leslie Green which brings the Richardsons into the Sellwood/Green Family Tree,
