Le Grand, Sydney Walter (b. 23 Mar 1902, d. ?)
Note: Information about the Le Grands has come from letters [one dated 1 April 1996] from Leona Kennedy to Ena...Reilly?.

Sydney Walter Le Grand....."was very clever, a brilliant brain, talented far above the average. He did work in Brisbane but while still quite young moved to Sydney. He was years ahead of his time with an inventive mind, interested in science
and engineering and was into radio and communications etc long before it was thought of in Australia.

"He was interested in his forebears and was extremely keen on the French language, so much so that with difficulty he searched Sydney to find an honest true blue family from France who could teach him to speak French correctly and fluently.
Eventually he moved in and lived with them and they always spoke in French, no English, all the time. Not very surprising was the news that he married the daughter of their family."

Searches reveal Sydney Walter Le Grand married Mary L Monvoisin at Waverley NSW in 1930. Nothing has been found concerning the Monvoisin family.
