Note: In Grandson Robert William Le Grand's diary of a holiday tour he made in 1865 from London through France and Germany and return, there is a note concerning a stopover at Munich on 19 June 1865 that "Papa [William Le Grand] and I , coming home by bus through Neuhauser between here and Munich, we went to see the graves of Katherine and John Le Grand".

Betty Butler was born in Queensland in 1871, died in 1940. Her parents were Isaac Butler and Sarah Elliot and they married in England.

Other Butler children were Sarah, Mary Ann, Edward and Jane, [all born in England] and Ellen, Eliza Maria, Ellen and Sarah [all born in Queensland].

Note: In 1865 Robert William Le Grand wrote a Diary of his journey through France and Germany in which he frequently referred to "Kitty". These references are understood to have been to his sister Catherine Josephine Le Grand.
