Coleman, John Henry (b. 25 Dec 1876, d. 11 Jul 1948)

Note: John Henry Coleman was a ganger with the South Australian Railways. He was born at Kapunda S.A. on 25 December 1876, parents George Coleman and Ellen Bray. On 22 December 1898 he married Ellen [Nellie] Clark, aged 21 years, born 22 December
1878 at Dublin, Gilbert District S.A., parents Wilson John Clark and Ellen Preston. The wedding was held at the residence of the bride's parents at Wallaroo Mine, Daly District S.A.



John and Nellie had eight children,

John Henry's work being with the railways the family were frequently moving residence. When his wife Nellie died on 26 November 1915 she left a family with ages between 15 years and less than one year.



In 1916 John Henry married Alvina Bertha Matilda Evans who died on 31 October 1918 in South Australia. Next he married Margaret Brown [born in South Australia between 1878 and 1886] who died on 27 May 1945 in Queensland.



At some time in his lifetime John Henry Coleman moved to Ipswich Qld where he died on 11 July 1948.
